It’s better to pick a fight with your in-laws than with your neighbors.~ Indian Proverb

B is asleep, I've done my chores for the night. I slip into my comfortable pj's and snuggle with my blanket on my comfortable couch fixing to pop in a movie I've been wanting to watch and lo and behold all of a sudden my upstairs neighbors are home. There goes my quite and peaceful night!

This fleeting quite and peaceful night happens most nights. I often sit there at night looking up at my ceiling asking myself...what could they possibly be doing? And sometimes I'm yelling that very question. I have never known anyone to walk back and forth as much as they do in their home. It sounds like that is all they are doing...walking laps around their apartment.

I have never met them, but have nicknamed them "The Pacers." I have become quite fond of the name. I think I will have to add a new years resolution: refrain from taking your broom and banging the ceiling of your apartment.

Is It Really A New Year?

Looking back over the last couple of years I'm amazed at how quickly they came and went, how quickly and drastically my life has changed and how I actually got through alive and well. This year has already had some really life defining moments and struggles, but I know that everything happens for a reason and I hold on firm to my faith and I know that everything will be alright.

I turned the big 3-OMG last year and it's weird, but everything changed...I changed. I could no longer deny the fact that I am an...adult! When did I become and adult!! I was forced to look things straight in the eye and see things for what they really were. I look at my life now and am happy for the most part. I accomplished the goals I had set for myself and now it's time for me to set new ones. I'm sure the list will grow and shrink throughout the year, but here is what I have so far:

1) Start going to church on a regular basis
2) Lose 15 lbs
3) Go back to school
